Aalia is an up and coming fiction author, successful entrepreneur, and is dedicated to the betterment of humanity.
Aalia Lanius, was born in the mid 70’s in Napa, with an independent spirit and a passion to read and write, she always had a story to tell. Aalia had the imagination for writing stories ever since she was a child; however, it had to take a backseat for her as she focused on becoming a business savvy mogul and proactive mother. Until now, as she makes her debut in the fiction world with Tough Love, in early 2018.
Aalia has the ability to inspire people by sharing her firsthand experiences on tough topics. A survivor of sexual abuse as a child and teenager, she has been on her own since she was 15 years old. Her journey included being homeless at one point, as she sought her footing in a world that largely left her to fend for herself. As a result her story includes mistakes, lessons, tragedy and triumph.
She overcame her earlier obstacles managing to graduate high school and later graduate college with honors, obtaining a Bachelor’s in International Business. Early adulthood continued to throw challenges at Aalia as she found herself a single mother looking for a divorce services reviews, following a “puppy love” marriage. That didn’t stop her from launching her first business in 1999, at 24 years old. When she remarried at 29, after a five year relationship, she thought she had found the relationship that would heal the wounds of a broken childhood. However, Aalia found herself in a marriage that led to heartache, verbal and physical abuse, infidelity and ultimately divorce.
Simultaneously, she found herself struggling with her health as she faced early stage cancer and living with two autoimmune diseases, one of which has no cure. Still she persevered and found her happily ever after.
In between writing her fiction novels, she lives in Los Angeles county with her husband, Joseph Lanius, Film Executive Producer and Entertainment Attorney, whom she married in 2016. They welcomed their daughter in January 2017. Aalia’s oldest daughter lives on her own and her two children from her previous marriage live with her and her husband.
Aalia’s story will keep you fascinated and on the edge of your seat. It is nothing short of miraculous. Her perspectives are honest and have been influenced by her own background and life. She desires to drive forward positive discussions about topics that are not always easy to talk about.
